Cheerleaders symbol of spirit The 1978 Varsity Basketball Cheerleaders Kathy Kaminskl Vicki Montagnese Diane Urlg Bev Imbrogno Bernie Mihalic, Barb Bruno, Jill Krenek. Spirit at Lorain Catholic is not dead, and our effervescent cheerleaders are the symbol of that fighting spirit. Their expertise and enthusiasm was shown in new cheers and towering pyramids. They built up team spirit by decorating the team lockers, and gave the school new life by planning and performing such crazy routines as the Little Red Riding Hood and EC Coneheads pep rallies. The varsity football cheerleaders ignored goosebumps to cheer in winter cold, the varsity basketball cheerleaders overcame the heat of a crowded gym to put on stunning new routines, and the Freshman and JV cheerleaders eagerly followed their shining ex- ample. tRightD Diane Urig towers over the JV and varsity basketball cheerleader pyramid.
