'7 7 9 In fact we re not golng to forget xt cause It s all gomg down on th1s page It all started on Frxday May 16 when we were told that the comlng Monday we would have our annual pxcnxc What a surprxse for we thought there wasn t golng to be such a thmg Saturday and Sunday passed somehow and here It was Monday morn mg It was an ldeal day for a plcnlc just what we dreamed of After securlng such thmgs as our lunch soda bottle opener potato chlps cameras and other thmgs we fmally were off' Our transportatxon was the school s busses Haslag Brothers truck and Old Faxthful Wxllxam s truck Our destmatlon Kllethermes Park On our arrwal the flrst thmg we dad try was to explore the club house but to no avall We walked a 11tt1e here and explored a lxttle there and fmally de clded to play volley ball but the flrst thing to do was to put up the net Of course the gxrls had to do this themselves because Loose Creek Hrgh had not produced gentlemen yet Thzs was very funny xndeed be cause we went about It m such a strange way After a lapse of tlme we fmally succeeded and started to play By thxs time the sun was well overhead meamng It was tlme to eat So a group of us gathered around and proceed to fill our tumnfues only had about five on our team Naturally we declded to get mto trouble and trouble 1t was We the people L.11l1an Herbre Rosemarxe Nma Marybelle Catherlne jacquxlm and Wllbert casually cllmbed over the barb wxre fence and strolled down along the river We walked to the bridge and then because we dldn t want to walk across rt we went or a llttle boat rlde We were very thxrsty by thxs txme so we walked to Kever s Cafe or cokes We declded xt was txme to get back or we d surely be missed so off we went walklng across the brxdge this tlme lt only took us about five seconds to get back just as we were cllrnblng over the fence the second tlme someone spied us Who could It be? So the less sald of whap happened then the better But we re stxll nn doubt why Harold -Iohnme joe and some of the gang could tramp along the rlver go boat rldlng swimming etc with out thelr absence being dlscovered or wasn t lt?
