RING DAY On the afternoon of Frlday October 17 194-7 the puplls of the Grade and High School assembled ln Church for Benedlctxon of the Blessed Sacra ment and for the rxng ceremony In an address to the Semors the Pastor Reverend Theon Schoen told them what the rmg symbollzed He sazd that a ring bemg round and havmg no end IS often glven on speclal occaslons The rmg ln a marrlage ceremony s1gn1f1es love devotlon and loyalty So also when students leave school they recelve rmgs Thls means that they wlll remain loyal and true to the prln clples and ldeals taught them Thelr parents and teachers w1ll no longer do for them they will have to do for themselves Thexr rmg also reminds them of thelr love for God and Country for parents teachers and school And lastly the rlng bmds them to thelr Alma Mater whlch they w1ll soon leave What they have learned 1n school should make them uprlght c1t1zens m thelr commumty, and faxthful members of the pansh It should make them lovers of the Holy Sacrlflce of the Mass frequent Com'nun1cants and actwe workers and supporters of the school and Church YEARS HENCE On a brlght day ln the year 1962 the crowd ln Yankee Stadium ln New Cam came to bat It was the last game of the season the last mmng of the game and the score was 10 10 The Red Sox pltcher none other than Wllfred Jansen was standmg there wondermg whlch way to pxtch the ball so as not to let joe hit It The pxtcher threw a fast curve and joe h1t It The ball and bat met wxth a mxghty crash and joe went runnmg around the bases the ball soared up and up and up untll xt went over the bleachers and landed lh the show wmdow of the Rustemeyer Brothers Damry Company The twlns had now been ln New York Czty for flve years and were gettmg along nicely ln the busmess world fthls was due largely to the course they took in 20th Century Bookkeeping at the Loose Creek I-hgh School J They have over three hundred people in thexr employment at the present and It IS saxd they w1ll be needlng more help soon as they are extendmg thexr famous Dairy Products out of the State of New York They recexve thelr dairy products from all over the Umted States Their most promls mg dalry farmer IS Mr Herbert Lock who now owns three da1ry farms ln Osage County Every once ln a whzle the blg flVE get together and talk over old times and wonder lf any one knew that three of them sllpped up to the Hall for a smoke between classes Catherine Backes, 49 York City was cheering madly when the famous Cardinal Catcher, joe
