In the second year we had to be wxth the Freshmen class for Latm And the only word I remember IS mantus And what dld WE do '7 Don t you remember Wxlfred we had studled agnculture so we had to enter the bookkeeping class Oh yes and then because of absence I had to make up so much' But say you know our class was an on that FIRST BAZAAR' And Herbxe you gave Szster such a happy surpnse when you gave her those WOODEN HORSES which you made for the horse race wheel! The ldea of havlng a yearly plcmc was revlved this same year' Then came THIRD YEAR And that meant typing Sxster said our typmg class was better than any of them I wonder lf she tells that to every class 7 And that was when we had to go back to sophomore classes for some subjects Oh I remember that s when we had that EDISON PROGRAM I was chalrman and you secretary Ioe That was when those sophomore girls dldn t get out of the room qulck enough to sult us for our Mzsscxrx hxstory class We wanted last seats Those debates we had then' I m glad we have poetry instead this year It was the first txme our s hool ever had a film prolector The year ended wxth the revlval of a Semor jumor luncheon Then FOURTH YEAR opened with a bang and WE at last had charge of Inxtlatxon spose the outstandmg event of our Semor year IS the pamtxng of our garage Why we didn t paxnt your garage' You know what we mean the alrmarker ON the garage Thxs year IS the BEST year' We get O U T thls-year '!' We can t complain about this year we had several breaks' At hrst It was too hot to have school and lately the roads were too bad Goodness! Here come the Freshmen The perxod is over and we didn t get to the end Well we won t be to the end of our Fourth Year at the time our Year Book IS sent to the printer Anyhow the rest of the events could only be Semor Play Semor Day School Pxcmc and Semor jumor Luncheon So what ? Are we all just gomg to put these xdeas together just somehow and one of the papers will be chosen? Id just as soon you leave me out and you all give S1ster anythmg you want There now how s that'7 Every class has SOMETHING happen after all once they get started Turning to Lxlhan I Dzd I leave anything out Llllxan? You did a swell job got lots more than I did only you probably lost out when those chrldren came xn for I have this after Clem mentxoned gettmg lost in crowd ln Lochmvar they mentloned how they had also taken part m our last Ski! for our Mother Friend Club program And when they were discussing events of then' Second Year the boys were teasmg Wxlfreo about not having to give up any of his tnckets an the merit gystem for conduct we had that year He scored 1005 Well we re glad we're not havlng that system now! LOOSE CREEK HIGH SCHOOL MARIAL STAFF EDITORS joseph Cam and Wllfred Jansen PHOTOGRAPHY Mr H I-lolterman Plctures of the Mass Catherme Backes Mzscellaneous snapshots BUSINESS MANAGERS Clemence and Cletus Rustemeyer TYPISTS Rosemarie Haslag Joseph Cam and Wllfred Jansen AIRMARKING PROJECT In December our Loose Creek alrmarker was fllght checked and photo graphed by a member of the MISSOUTI Dxvlslon of Resources and Development Thus alrmarker was pamted on the top of the RUSTEMEYER BROTHERS new garage on Hlghway 50 west of here In a letter from Marvm l Gold Avlatlon Dxrector we were congratulated upon the completlon of our excellent alrmarker whxch was standard ln every respect He thanked us for our lnterest ln this worthy project assured us that all who fly w1ll appreclate our efforts and saxd that our town wxll beneflt by being ldentlfled as a progressive communlty The alrmarker was drawn to scale by Wllfred Jansen and Joseph Cam and was pamted by Cletus and Clemence Rustemeyer Herbert Lock Wxlfred Jansen Joseph Cain Harold Muenks and John Kllethermes Rosemarie Halsag THE 4 H CLUB The 4 H Club was organized June 1947 Nxne gxrls enrolled as the fxrst members The Clover Club was the name agreed upon by the members Offxcers were elected The leaders were Mrs John Boessen and Mrs Edwm Haslag The flrst project was the baking of blscults and the canning of frults and vegetables for exhlbltlon on Achievement Day and at the County and State fazrs The Clover Club won a total of thirteen blue mne red and fwe white rlbbons on Achlevement Day on the bakmg and canned foods entrxes and ln judgmg contests Sxx blue and three red ribbons were won at the County Fair Three red rxbbons were won at the State Fair At the end of the year the completed reports were sent xn to the Extensxon Office ln recognxtlon of 1ts work the Clover Club was awarded the 4 H Club seal which IS presented to the seven best clubs 1n the county In December we elected our new officers for the year of 4-8 The leaders for thxs year are Mrs John Boessen Mrs Clarence Shefermann and Miss Margaret Beschemen One of the events planned for the year of 48 was a Valentine Party This was on February Sth Fxfteen new members were enrolled The total number now is twenty five Club Reporter Grace Portxng 50 . . , I l D I I , .
