CLASS HISTORY OF 1948 There were ten members enrolled ln the freshman class of 1944 We came from all parts of the surroundmg countryside Harriet Young attended Atlanta for one year She went to District 41 for five years attended Mascot while ln the seventh grade and came to Loomis for the eighth grade Grace Lyon spent all of her time ln the grades at District 9 Bernlece Swanson spent three years ln D1StrlCf Z9 and then came to Loomls Anne Bergman attended District 77 for one year and Dustrlct Z9 for the remamder of her grade school days Roger Mollne spent 6 years at District 7 and flntshed grade school ln District Z8 George Holmes spent 5 years m D1str1ct 63 and the remainder in Dtstnct 61 Dale Nelson went through all eight years of grade school in Loomis Marion Freed spent all of h1s grade school days 1n D1str1ct 61 Darrel Stark revexved all of h1s grade school education ln District 18 His first two years of hugh school were spent 1n Ragan Roger johnson was one of the original members of our class He dropped out of school un 1947 Vearl johnson was with us the flrst two years She IS now attending Holdrege I-hgh Our freshman year was a year of study Our sponsor for that year was Supermtendent F- ermp We gave a party for the rest of the school durlng that year Our sophomore year was also rather dull Allan Steele enrolled m our class but dropped out the next year Our sponsor for that year was Superintendent Hermg By the tlme that we were Juniors we learned that we had to do many things We gave a play Pleased Ta Meetcha The profuts of this were used to give the senlors a banquet The seniors also treated us to break fast Our sponsor was Mr Clme Many events have taken place ln our senior year We l'0C0lved our class rmgs early ln the year and had our pictures taken mjanuary We mtent to give the play Good Graclous Grandma very soon We are all lookxng forward to graduatwn with high hopes ln our hearts. - o . . . o ' I . . . . . . . . s . - . . n . . . . - I I n . . . . . . 0 o . . - . - . . a c . . . . . u . . . .
