FRESHMAN ABC'S L is for Lents, who acts like a clown, He never acts different, except when Irene is around M is for Melton, quite a wise guy, '•'hen he sees Betty he gives a sigh. M is for Milligan,with flaming red hair, When Eugene is around she sits and stares. M is for Morrisette, who sits and sighs, Hoping to get Fisher by and by. P is for Pennington, Rays little chickdee, We know their in love, that we can see. Q is for Oualkenbush, who likes gradeschool girls, He likes them best with little Mack curls. R is for Riggins, who plays in the band, Jim Strawn thinks she is simply grand. R is for Runyon,who had better repent, Then he will become a fine little gent. S is for Smith, who is awfully short, When she gets mad you should see her snort. S is for Souerdike, with long hair, Wonder what happened to her love affair. S is for Streete, a good girl in school, Gets all her lessons, believes in the, Golden Rule S.is for Sutton, our Latin worm, She sure makes Mr. Jones squirm. S is for Swartzenturber, our little boy, Mommy's pride, and Daddy's joy. T is for Taylor, whose quite a girl, Shen bovs are around she's in a twirl. T is for Thornberry, the best boy I know, Oh! Betty I tell you, I envy you so. T is for Truelove, a pretty Miss is she, Some day in the future, Donnie's wife, maybe. is for Waggoner, he is quite a fan, All the girls think he is a wonderful man. W is for Walton, that handsome lad, Always good and never bad. W is for Wikle, a good sport, And just the girl for the boys to court. w is for Wilson, whose name is above, Next comes Jim's with whom she's in love. W is for Wright, our paper boy, The girls think he is the real McCoy. Y is for Yarnell, a very nice gent, When told to get, he takes the hint. Z is for Ziegler, tall as they come, And brother you should see that gal run.

Beta Club The club attended the Beta Club Convention at Louisville, Ky., Dec. 1st and had a very enjoyable trip. A program was given for the high school by Joyce burress, Peggy Mattingly, Camilla Beasley, Dean Waggoner, and Bobby Walton. The officers are: President --------------- Pay Gilmore Vice President --------- Camilla Beasley Secretary -------------- Dorothy Mallette Treasurer -------------- Joyce Burress Sponsor ---------------- Mrs. Kathro Williams Dramatics Club Organized Jan. 18, 1952, a constitution and by-laws were adopted Jan. 24, 1952 by eighteen members. The club presents a play each month for the school. It's first play, Like Father, Like Son , was given March 7, 1952. The officers are: President ------------- Dean Waggoner Vice President ------- Betty Strawn Sec.-Treas. ---------- Norma Jones Sponsor -------------- Henry Jones Glee Club and Band The third annual Tri-School Festival was held In the gymnasium December 10, 1952. Participants In the festival were the music departments of Mont- gomery, Shoals, and Loogootee. It was supervised by Jean Walker, Jane and Amelia Matthews. The high school chorus and band also participated In the Christmas program, Spring Concert, Baccalaureate and Commencement. Several students of music received honors In the district and state solo and ensemble contests. Photography Club The Photography Club had charge of all club pictures taken for the year book. The club, composed of eight members, have established a dark room In the basement where they will learn to develop and print pictures.
