Those who entered and are still with us are: Don Steely, Fletcher Campbell, Joe Rochelle, Mary Norton, Vada Ketchum, Linda LeMay, Earl Fletcher Jackson, Jackie Benton, Dorothy Hayes, Beulah Mae Hill, and Lynae Tomlinson. Miss Allie Mae was our teacher and a very good one at that. Second Grade--Two new pupils entered--Ralph Anderson and Reba Groce. Third Grade--Budy Glover, Kara Lee Kittler, Dorothy Fitzhugh. Fourth Grade--No new ones entered that year. Boy, we were disappointed--no new playmates. Fifth Grade--No new ones that year either. Sixth Grade--James Alberson and Edith Jones. Seventh Grade--No more recesses, fantastic ideas scaring us half to death. Four new ones--Opie Goldsworthy, Marie Bettis, Gene Ketchum, and Luther Lott, Eighth Grade--Gene Lasiter, Bobby Staton, Willa Dean Williams QPrettiest Girl '55-'56J, Faylene Horton, Sue Williams, Sylvia Parnell, Gail Bunyard, Emestine Howard, and Freddie Stecks-- fAll-County Basketball '55J. Tenth Grade--Biology, bugs, frogs, ughl Romance--living for Friday. No new ones entered that year. Eleventh Grade--JUNIORS! Coke stand at basketball and football games--fabulous prom, sweet flowers--girls in swirling skirts, boys in uncomfortable dinner jackets, Mohawk haircuts. Sadie Spears entered that year. Twelfth Grade-- Wayne Anderson, Anna George Reed, and Mary Alice Jones Qwho completed her work at midterm and got marriedj, and Marie York joined our class. SENIORS! OH, HAPPY DAY!
