Another Big Season For the second season in succession, our boys have done a great job. The team's effort, combined with Mr. Chase's experience, placed us first in the League V Tournament, which was held at Longwood. We also placed fifth in the County finals. The following wrestlers placed in the Christmas Tournament: Pete Hough and Dan Tomaszewski: first place, Larry Brown: second. In the League Tournament: Larry Brown, Pete Hough, Larry Porter, John Fer-ritto, and Dan Tomaszewski all took first place; Jeff Linzer, Charles Shelby, Woody Miller, Wes Bullock all took second place; Steve King took third; Bob Peters, Dennis Schaeffer, and Greg Thompson placed fourth. In County competition, Larry Brown placed first, Dan Tomaszewski second, and Larry Porter took fourth place. The seniors undertook the chore of leading the team to such a triumphant season. The wrestlers who will return next year are looking forward to another winning season, for wrestling has truly become an institution at Longwood. Tournament Champs and their mentor. Larry Porter, Dan Tomaszewski, Mr. Chase, John Ferritto, Pete Hough, and tarry Brown.

Under the inspired leadership of coaches De Luca, and Woog, Longwood's 1964 track team went on to win the B-l League Championship with a 6-0 league record and a 7-2 season record. Outstanding team members were Bernie Smith, who placed third in Suffolk County in the 220 yard run, and Tom Fingar, Karl Hreachmack, and Steve King, who with Bernie took third place in Suffolk County in the 880 relay. As for 1965, the team has nine lettermen returning, and should do well. The high points of the season will be meets with Bellport and Bay-port, our traditional track rivals.
