teacher of Mathematics at tlie State Ndrnial School. INIiss ITarvic graduated at the Normal School in 1892, and has since pursued her studies at Cornell Univer- sity, New York. Miss Lula O. Andrews, of Lafayette, Alabama, who is teacher of Music, Physical Culture and History and Science of Education, is a graduate of Pealiody Normal College, Nashville, Tennessee. Miss Martha Willis Coullixg, who is teacher of Form and Drawing, and who is Librarian at the State Normal School, is from Richmond, Virginia. She graduated at the Peabody Normal College, Nashville, Tennessee, and has studied at the Teachers ' College, New York. Miss Fannie Talbot Littleton, whose home is in Chester, Virginia, is teaclier of Physics and Chemistry at the State Normal School. She is a graduate of the Normal School ; has taken the University course in Chemistry at the Uni- versity of Virginia, and has since pursued her studies at Cornell University, New York. Miss Marguerite Carroi i , of St. Louis, Missouri, is a graduate of tiie State Normal School at Farm ville, Virginia, and has also taken a course in Chemistry at the University of Virginia. She has studied Ciiemistry and Physics at tiie Washington University, St. Louis, and is now assistant teacher of IMatlieniatics and substitute teacher of Ciiemistry at the State Normal Sciiool. Miss Minnie Vaughan Rice, of Farmville, Virginia, who is now teacher of Latin at tlie State Normal ScIkio], was a graduate of tlie Farmville College when it was under the management of Dr. Paul ' hitehead. She afterwards took a short course at Harvard UniversiJ:y. Miss Estelle Smith ey, formerly of Amelia county, holds tlie diploma in the schools of French, German and Mathematics from Randolph-Macon College, at Ashland, and has completed the English work for the A. B. degree. Slie has recently studied in Paris, and has the French diploma of the French Alliance. Miss Smithey is now teacher of Modern Languages at the State Normal Sciiool. Miss Clara Fitzgerald Spiljian, of Warrenton, Virginia, is Assistant Librarian at the State Normal School. Siie has studied Music in Baltimore at the Peabody Conservatory, and also in Italy, and has private pupils in Farmville.
