An Ude to All hail to dear Old Longview High Schooll We pay you honor today. We will tell the world That your honor will stay. All hail to those who came before us And made you so strong. We will never falter Or do you wronglu The sound of these words do ring And a touch of nostalgia bring. The thoughts in my mind of late Make my heart nigh to break. The dozens of times I sang your song, I promised not to do you wron Hut the passing of time has to you see, My words were but an empty decree. g. ld, Soon the wrecker's ball will fall, But not the memories you gav us all. There were times ofjoy and tearsg These dearly we will hold for years. Helen and Dimples in their rooms did teach. And Wilkie , his philosophy would reach. Mr. Field climbed your stairs 6 Old LH upon his hands. And when he did, we gasped. Oh, my lands! At 3:20 the parking lot With smoke would fill. Then to the Point or DC For a quick chill. There we'd gather and plans did make Who we'd ask out for a date. I'll ne'er forget that cold November: It's so easy to remember. Rod came from the next room and cried, Our president: he has died! To the War Great, Korea, And the Viet Nam of late Your sons you so freely gave For our freedom to save. Some of your boys answered the call. Then, as men, some gave their all. Though we came and though we went, We'll never forget the times we spent. In your halls and rooms we abode And shared life's dreams and life's load. Johnny James Class of '64 ---A oo H0 N ORS .Aa
