rien A wide range of friends can be found here on campus. Friends share football games, cafeteria food, and sunlight at lunch. Friends make everyone's high school years more memorable, es- pecially when facing the many obstacles to be overcome. Our parents probably can recall those special times and special friends during their high school years. Some friends still live in Longview and see one another oc- casionally, like at Christmas and Thanks- giving. Old friends who live in other cities and states still keep in touch by writing letters, sending holiday greetings or just by paying a simple visit. Things haven't changed much. Week- ends and friends went together hand in handg they still do. Weekends didn't seem to come around often enough during the school year, but when they did everyone let loose and had a great time. No - things haven't changed much. We're wishing fopposite page top? Evette Walker, Shenequia Pierce and Rhonda Rowlett share a friendly lunch planning their future. Chaneine with the Times one of us can remem- ber the price of a T.V., a car or the simple coke twenty years ago. Amazing changes in econom- ics, politics, and social life have taken many changes before we were ever born. Many of the changes that have been made have had a great impact on our lives. Likewise in our lifetime we will be responsible for changes that will effect the children of the next genera- tion. About ten years ago a bond issue for a new high school was held. The old school was get- ting too crowded and some- thing had to be done. When the issue was brought before the ci- ty, they loved it! Immediately it was voted on and was over- m whelmingly passed. The 1984-85 football season brought on another big change. Sponsored by Fairview Nursery, LOBOS was printed on the hill with shrubery. This act clearly claimed it as Lobo stadium. In our generation, we still have immigration. The U.S. continues to be a melting pot for all nation- alities and cultures. LHS is no exception. Students attending school come from many foreign lands. Some make the ad- justment to a new culture with no problem. With all of the changes going about this year, it is sure to have an effect on our life later on. For the past couple of years, it seems things are changing too fast. We must keep up because things are Changing with the Times. I didn't like the new T school at first but not any more.
