Mrs, Mary Ann Palmer and Coach Leroy Romines Serving baked potatoes, pizza, sausages, cokes, and other foods makes the Oktoberfest enjoyable. Eating outside, trying new foods and joking with friends are fun. Members of organizations set up booths and sell the foods. Members of foreign language clubs sell food from the countries represented. The Pan Am Club sold nachos and the French!German Club sold quiche and crepes. The fest held before the football game with Mar- shall not only features good food, but also Western Day with the best dressed students being announced at the pep rally.

Huey Hlackmon, Eric Harris, Barbie Gruppi, Football Sweetheart: Kevin Allums, and Darrin Brinkley Mr. Leland Reinhard and Elizabeth Eads, Senior Duchess The lights were ablaze like any other Friday night in Lobo Stadium, but Oct. 19 was not just another football game, it was Homecoming. Escorted on the field were 11 young ladies. Two girls were chosen from the Freshman, Sophomore and junior classes as Duchesses, and five girls were nominated from the Senior Class, one to be named Homecoming Queen. The crowd was quiet as the announcement was made that Renee Zvolanek was named 1984 Homecoming Queen. The football team elected Barbie Gruppi Football Sweetheart.
