Fire destroys theatre On the morning of October 8, between 9:17 and 9:25, something began to burn in the Little Theatre. In less than nine minutes, more than half million dollars in damages had been done. The ceiling tiles were blackened with the smoke. All of the curtains, lights, electrical switches, and sound equipment were replaced. The backstage materials - props, chairs, sets - were destroyed. Over 500 costumes were damaged from the smoke and water. Principal Bob Woodruff gave im- mediate approval for the theatre to be renovated.
