FOREWORD A memory is an abstract quality that can never be removed from one's mind and heart. In the following pages of this book, We, the editors, along with our sponsor and our staff, have tried to compile a RECORD of the many memories of the REC- ORD YEAR 1961-1962. All of the joys and sorrows, the laughter and tears, the ex- citement and let-downs, these have been the aims of the picture taking, copy writing, and hours of diligent thinking. We wish to express our deepest appreciation for the capable guidance of our spon- sor, the faithful co-operation of the entire staff, and all others who have contributed to the making of this book. Serving as your editors this RECORD YEAR has truly been a challenge, a privilege, and a pleasure.
