Journalism and Art Club Used Skills AFlT CLUB: Flow 1: Cheryl Green, Cindy Adam. Bow 2: Craig Converse, Glen Flanagan, Mrs. Flay lsponsorl, Mark Zen, Joe Black, Doug Wolfe, Mr. Bennett lsponsorl- The journalism class was designed for students interested inthe news media. The students learned the basic terms and rules of news writing. They wrote each monthly edition of the school newspaper, The Ram-Page. They also put together the yearbook. They took the pictures, arranged the pages, and helped print the design on the yearbook covers. They worked many hours after school and on week- ends to try to meet deadlines on both the newspaper and the yearbook. The students really enjoyed the learning experience this class offered. 'NHNWQ' Dianne Wade knew by the look on Mrs. Pompili's face that today was going to be one of THOSE days. Spanish and French Club Went Places FRENCH CLUB - Front Row, seated: Alison Schwartz, Karen Resler, Melody Mills, Lori Robinson. Fiow 2 Renee Beck, Laura West, Joyce Powers, Vincent Alford Flow 3: Ms. Mitchell, sponsor, Candy Patterson Michelle Williams, Julie Hanson, Lori Platt. Some of the foreign language students wanted to do more than their regular classroom activities so a Spanish Club.and a French Club were formed. Mr. Martinez sponsored the 17 members in Spanish Club. They went to a Foreign Language Festival, Casa Bonita ia Mexican restaurantl and had a cook-out for their families. They raised money by raffling a 10- speed bike, holding a bake-sale, and selling candy bars. French Club had 11 members plus Ms. Mitchell, the sponsor. To raise money they sold candied apples and Christmas gifts. THey went to two French restaurants, the Denver Art Museum, and participated inthe school's Spring Fling.
