A Spanish Village, Menus, and More With the help of their teachers, Ms. Burns and Mr. Martinez, stu- dents in Spanish classes learned the basics of the language by studying dialogues, grammar, and the counting system. Some 7th graders built a Spanish village while others made up menus. A visit to the Foreign Language Festival in Denver was an extra for 9th graders. Playing Cards, Dialogues and ln addition to learning a new language, French students also found out about the styles and cultures of France through movies and books. They also had a student guest speaker, Jean-Jacques from Bor- deaux, France who showed them postcards and talked about his hometown and France. Sarah Martin Q75 and Brad Jorgensen Q75 play the French game, Le Jeu Des Huit Familles. Hectorvega, from Columbine Elementary, and Mr. Martinez play The freedom balloon rises above the Foreign Language Spanish music for some of the Spanish classes.
