Above: Mr. Pierce, assisted by Mr. Belgian, led the Longfellow Eighth Grade Football team to a 4-1-2 season record. Above: Mr. Pittman, assisted by Mr. Berglan, coached the Eighth Grade basketball team through a 13-4 winning season. The team took third place in the Western Oaks Tourney and were second in the Southern Division Conference.

Above: An important phase in the training of young musicians is Longfellow ' s Sixth Grade Begin- ning Band. The band is under the leadership of Mr. Joe Spurlock. During the past year the vocal music department has done an outstanding performance. The department has performed at PTA and has studied hard to participate in the various concerts which they have attended out-of-town. The many talented young persons have added much to the exploratory programs which have been given in the school. The vocal music department is under the leadership of Ms . Robberson .

Mr. Baldwin ' s Seventh Grade Football team enjoyed a winning season of 5-1-0. Mr. Fleming ' s Seventh grade football team finished the season 4-1-1 for a fine winning season.
