Pauline Sorensen, Lois Moon, Shirley Suchy, Karen Mueller, Sandra Peterson, Patsy Freeze, LaDonna Erpeldmg Sandra Richards, Rosalee Welty, Pat Muldoon, Ianet Spuhler and adviser Mrs. Dessie Shanklin. Secretaries Prepare for the Future To gain a better understanding of the business World, the secretarial training girls organized the Pushbutton Club under the direction ot Mrs. Dessie Shanklin. The girls held their meetings during second period on the tirst and third Fridays of every month, and parties, on holidays. Each semester of the year, the girls elected a president, a vice-president, a secretary, a treasurer, a social chair- man and a program chairman, The girls drew names for secret pals each semester. ldentities were re- vealed at the Christmas party and at the end ot the year. One ot highlights ot the year was the Pushbutton Club Christmas Party, Where the group played games, ex- changed gitts and served refreshments. ,, i Ka ,Z Pushing buttons doesn't take all their time. Gaining much popularity was the new H Cappella Choir led by Mr. George Peterson. Members were Phyllis York, Ioan Hlexander, Shirley Suchy, Marietta Mason, Ken Fulmer, Gary Henderson, Ierry ldt, Karen Worley, lane Fales. Hnnette Borchert, Glenda Callahan, Iudy Hlbin, Rosalee Welty, Carolyn Ohlmann, Marilyn Rayment, LaDonna Erpelding, Helen Overbaugh, Iudy Robinson, Iohn Gerber, lack Crowley, Clyde Mickelson, Sandra Richards, Barbara Reidy, Donna Reeder. Vocalists Participate In Musicalia The musical year of 1955 and 1955 was a very busy one tor the senior high vocal department. Under the director- ship ot Mr. George Peterson, there were many accomplishments and ad- vancements made by the department. This year's Musicalia, i'Through the Years with Longfellow, was one ot the highlights. lt was presented by all sec- tions ot the department. The H Cappela Choir, consisting mostly ot seniors, Page 14 chose as their scene Pl New Era which reviewed the television and radio debuts of the Kearney Vocal De- partment. The dedication in memory ot Long- tellow Veterans ot World War 1 was the scene presented by the Girls' Gleei The State Football Champs a n d Coaches of 1944 were honored by the mixed chorus in their scene of the pro- duction.
