Girls glee meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays, under the direction of Miss Elizabeth Cummings, to iron out tonal and technical difficulties beiore par- ticipating in the district music contest. They use their rehearsal time lo its best advantage in obtain- ing smooth harmony and precise timing. Soloists, Ruth Beaver and Bette leanne Scheeler, merited excellent and good honors respectively. Competing with 20 other contestants in the girls low voice solo division, Ruth gave a very creditable performance in executing the aria, My Heart at Thy Sweet Voice. Bette, in competition with 28 high voice soloists, gave a commendable interpretation of The Swallow. May l7, the girls glee participated in the pro- gram tor the mother-daughter tea.
