This is the time when general assembly is held. The programs for the assemblies are arranged by the Student Advisory Board. The chairman of the committee this year is Guy Pierce. Some very interestng programs have been given throughout the year. The assembly programs have been of various kinds. They have consisted of rallies, musical entertainment, short plays and speeches. Eat 'Em up Bearcats and Your Pep, were among the yells heard at a very lively rally held September I6, at Vvhich time the yell leaders, Avis Lam- bert, Richard Lambert and Doris Bouch- er, were chosen by the Student Advisory Board and the new teachers. Others who tried out were: Elise Peaker, Gaylord Van Yvey, Could Norton, Russell Batic, Qpal Shafto and Viola Marquis. Mr. Ted Sherer and Mr. Horace Smithey, both alumni, were greeted by hearty applause in assembly on Sep- tember 23. Mr. Sherer played several piano solos and Mr. Smithey sang several songs. Every one was sorry when they made their last bows. Following a short pep meeting on October Zl, Principal C. S.
