Homecoming The h1gh school gyrnnasmm was f11led to capaczty for the basketball games with Cornell Bemg homecoming many alumna. were present The Junlors sold refresh ments throughout the evenmg Long Pomt won the flrst team game, 64 41 After the games the hlgh school students presented a two act pantomme B111 Maddux acted as master of ceremomes Mrs Emtly Sass played the plano accom panlment for the kltchen cabmet orchestra and Mrs Audrey Wheeler dlrected the play I1 Advertise the great Amerlcan grand opera The cast mcluded Producer Wllham Maddux Tomato Razzbern Duke of Parchesl .Tack S1mons V1ctrola the Duchess Beata Schlueter Pxccelma the1r elder daughter Donna Schulthe1s Peacherma the1r younger daughter Alberta Kmkade County Ivory Domo Donald Schulthels S1r Ansco Kodako Gene Cole Trees Otzs Ruff Roger Outram Moon Greta Ellls Gate Carolyn Mowers Marllyn Brucker Curtams Carol Walters Charlotte Brucker Curtam Puller W1l11am Edwards The other students of the school formed the kltchen cabmet band d1rected by Mary Lou M111er THD T0 Chlcago on the bus to see the stage play Texas L1 l Dar11n Fzrst we went to see the Bahau Temple ln Evanston Lmcoln Park was our second destmatlon to see Bushman ' the great gorllla Much to everyone s sorrow he remamed lymg down all the whlle we were there, then we went to the Loop ate our dmnner and went to the Great Northern Theatre to see Texas L11 Darlm It was very pretty and every one enjoyed it lmmensely After the stage play we d1d as we wished Some shopped Ln all the b1g stores others went to the Chlcago Theatre some to other theatres At elght o clock twenty four tlred students and three teachers started on the long trip home Chnstmas Party The presxdent of each class Carol G1l1 Nancy Kzmplmg Mary Langhoff and George Anne M1l1er planned the Chmstmas party for the students and the teachers Mr Husted showed the group two humorous movles Santa Claus came to pass out the gifts The presidents served a lunch and everyone enjoyed dancing Soczal Ed1tor Beverly Stemke On Saturday, the 7th of October, the members of the chorus journeyed to Chicago

INITIATION PARTY In1t1at1on was held on Frlday September ZZnd Ten Freshmen came to school that day hardly recognxzable Donald Schulth1es was dressed as Llttle Genevleve Kenneth Bennett looked 11ke Aunt Jemlma All the girls were dressed m queer outf1ts most of them lookmg llke boys whzle the boys looked 11ke g1rls That mght the Freshmen came to the party shwermg and shakmg They were bllndfolded led down the staxrs hangmg on to an electr1c wlre fed worms and made to wade 1n mud Each Freshmen had to do several stunts 1n front of the guests present Jamce Walters sat on B111 Maddux s lap and k1ssed h1m Poor Otxs Ruff couldn t run fast enough to keep Georgla Ann Mlller from klssmg him F'ranc1s Moxners had to put other stunts were boxmg dancmg crawhng on hands and knees and croonmg A tasty refreshment of watermelon was fed the Freshmen Sophomores Jun1or Senlors faculty and their guests FRESHMAN HAYRACK PARTY The Freshmen gave a hayrack r1de for thexr return party All the students and faculty were 1nv1ted After the rlde flnally came to an end games were played ln the hlgh school gym then the Freshmen served refreshments SENIOR DANLES The Semors sponsored two square dances th1 year Buz Hansan played for the f1rst one and The Cummlng Combo for the second dance They were glven to ra1se money for the curtam fund Refreshments were sold Both dances had a large at tendance SK.AT ING PARTIES The F H A glrls sponsored a skat1ng party It was very well attended and everyone had a lot of fun even though they came home brulsed and sore m spots The Sophomores sponsored a skatmng party January llth Agam people came home very much brmsed up but they had a good tlme ' I - . u ' ' 10 . ,, . ,, . . . his arm around his one and only, Alberta Kinkade, and make love to her.
