I g N 1918 the Clinical Society had its birth, and, itrhas been growing slowly , ever since. . Ihe aim of the founders of the Society was to bring about a l closer relationship between the teaching staff of the College departments, and the Hospital and Dlspensary Staffs. In brief, the. Society aims to ' A Xi' ' further co-operation between the several branches in the institution and to contribute to the advancement of medicine. It often happens that the men of one department of an institution have little or no knowledge of what is going on in other departments. This Society enables all the members of the institution to become acquainted with the special activities of the various departments. It also affords an opportunity to invite men of other institutions, who have been engaged in research, to present their work to the Staff of the Long lsland College Hospital.
