mm . r ...M A . ,H-V V, .14 ' QT .70 me jadflkgf As We try to express our gratitude to you we realize that many things must go unsaid. It is difficult to ex- press our thanks in mere words, hecause our devotion to you is so great. Vvhile we regret leaving this school, we feel ready to step out into a world that challenges us. We loolc forward, however, with anticipation and adventure. Nowv we must lauild on the foundation that you gave us during our high school years. Instruction in our aca- demic life has most certainly helped usg the additional time that you have devoted to aiding and guiding us to become social laeings, has strengthened and forti- fied us for planning the full life now, when more than ever loelore, our country needs intelligent and mature citizens. For four years you acted in the place of our parents, and were at time entrusted with a responsibility in many Ways more important than theirs. We are sin- cerely and humbly grateful to you for all that you have given us. DOROTHY BEHRENS President, Class of Ianuary, '53 30 me gfddudfedl We, the faculty, send you forth now at the end of twelve years of schooling, into a world which needs you very much. It has need of your ahilities, your intelli- gence, your productive capacity, your good intentions, your high ideals, your noble purposes. Your parents, your community, and your government, have also contributed in great part to your education. But your continued education in the world of expe- rience will he yours to determine. You have the choice ol guiding your own footsteps, of selecting the paths along which you will malre your living and your life, of building the lcind of world in which you will want your children to live. We trust that you will choose well, that you will rememher what you have learned, that you will malfe us, and your parents, and your community, and your country proud of having been contrihutors to your education.
