THE SHOXV OF 8-213 By LUCILLE TORTORA and NIARLENE BACH 1 ,f lf you were to stop and loolc into room 2l4. S 5 212, 210 or 209, you would probably see the most J, 1 trite things imaginable--stationary things-deslcs. seats and students. But stop and look into room theatre seats and a piano. To go with our unique homeroom we have thirty-five harmonizing stu- dents plus one teacher, Nliss Solomon toops, Nlrs. Jaffej Vvhile Nlarie Tancsalc and Lucille Tortora huddle together to try to figure out who's here or at the Paramount. Bob Corneliis face is in his daily homeroom assignment fthe reading ol. the Daily NOOZ J. The balcony seats are buzzing with Rachel Weisman and Sandra Deutsch dis- cussing what's what and whois who, while Shirley Kossiver plays the beggars role. A plea for the daily Econ is resounded by Bill McGuire and Gus Fernandez. uThe bus was laten is the usual excuse arriving with the panting Annunziato. Coming in close second is Nlarlene Bach, whose only regret is that the closet closes before she comes. Our class baby, Diane Sheppard, chats with Dolores Spero, Cathy Sczepanslci and the boyst College bound tthey hopel are Viclcy lxfiichaels, Isabelle Nlealcim, Pete McGowan, Gus Fernandez, Bernie Powers, Marlene Bach, Beverly Root, Rachel Weisman and Lucille Tortora. A pause! Rita lxflontana is on the run again with her daily messages. Xvhile lxlarie Dicangi four prospective nurse, uchews the fat with lrene Bruch and Jo Congema, Dolores Sceleza plans for an early wedding and Donald Swallow is still in there punching for Jean R0mano's hand tfor the proml. Halt maize it by January ll, we hope. in our right hand corner, extreme baclc, we see Don lVlcKeown, our handsome six footer from Bishop Loughlin. Starry-eyed Ann Labate still dreams of her Joe Colombo, who is some thousand miles away. Our straying nomad, Dino Zaieres, has just returned from a brief visit with 7-314. All this is observed by our new addition, Richard Christani, who sits wide-eyed with amazement. As a mother might regard her naughty children with an air of understanding forgiveness-'so lxflrs. Jaffe sits pondering over the hustle bustle of all this activity. And as she shakes her head helplessly. we have longed so many times to tell her how much we appreciate all that she has done lor us, her understanding and her patience. All this we will neyer lorgetl
