A. Atkins the girls have steadily improved in the past three years, losing only seven games out of the fifty-three which were played in Mecklenburg County. The season was brought to a successful close by defeating Matthews in Tournament finals, thus marking ourselves as county champs. The record of this year ' s team remains a challange to the teams of the fXiture. The boys won the first game from pineville, the score being Si- 21. The second game was won from Matthews, the county favorites, by a score of 20-19. Derita was the next victim, going down by a score of 28-16.
