The team won the Holmdel Relay Championship and the Cragon Relay Championship for the second year in a row. The team also won the LB relays. Malcolm Freeman was the top quarter-mile. Ed Evans was the top middle distance runner Calvin Briggs, top hurdler, contributes greatly to the team's efforts. “The relay should be the teams strong point. Girls Softball Strikes Out Looks to Next Season The Girls’ Varsity Softball team consisted of three seniors, six juniors, and two sophomores. The Girls’ Varsity team finished the season with a record of 4-8 overall. The team was led by pitcher Jeanette Villavini. Sue Vasalo, Joanne Carvalho, Tracy Thompson, Bibi Easow and Emily Davila made up the rest of the infield. Captain Terri Crowell. Stephanie Reed and Tanya Johnson were the outfielders. Coaches Basile and Sheckler both stated, The record is not really indicative of how hard the girls tried. With eight returnees we are looking forward to next season. ▲ Team: Coach Sheckler. Noah Cox.
