I I ' 1 1 - , we could spell accurately an our sleep the names of players coaches managers and anyone else who had anythang else to do wath the football team The money we made mode up for all our work however and we forgot about pro grams and began to thank up more ways to make money Our next venture was the Junaor Faculty basketball game Unfortunately the faculty was lucky that naght and won May we leave one thought wath the faculty team Dont feel too pleased there wall be other Junaors and other games Some day youll meet your match CWe hopel Our next protect was the Junaor Carnaval Each homeroom had ats own booth rangang from marraoge to puttang o candle out wath a water pastol Every one had a good tame and we accomplashed our moan purpose to roase money The last protect of our tunaor year was one for our own relaxaaaon I May we held our Junaor Dance The grand ball room of the hotel was beouta fully decorated by some of the members of our class Everyone had a good tame and our Junaor year came to a perfect end Then at happened It was September l954 and we were Senaors' It seemed almost ampossable We had waated so long for thas year and all of a sudden there at was There was another change too So many of us were dravang now Ah the glory of beang a Senaor dent James Duncan the new vace presadent Mary Ann Earle the new secretary and Bette Bennett was agotn gaven the too of handlang the funds Almost ammedaately we started havang our ptctures taken for the yearbook Yearbook edators were elected and we really got to work We decaded that the story of our tourney would make o good theme for the yearbook a theme that would brang back many memoraes when readang thas book an later years We stall had to worry about maktng money though Now our tob was to sell hot dogs at the football games After pushang our way through hot dogs mustard soda rolls and hungry people we found at the end of the season that we were stall ahead as far as money went About mad way through the year we started to thank about what would be the hotel s baggest socaal event of the season The Senaor Prom We chose An Evenang an Paras as the theme for our prom Agaan the grand ballroom was beoutafully decorated and the dance was a huge success The last bug event of our tourney was our graduataon We all accepted our daplomas wath even though we dont lake to admat at a lattle bat of sadness After all we had had some pretty good tames durang our stay at the hotel The class of 1955 as grateful to the Hotel Long Branch for all at taught us the advace we receaved there and the fraends we made there All these thangs wall help us to meet an even greater challenge the tourney ahead of us .
