I THE LATE MELVIN T. RAHN Assistant Principal of Long Branch High School ehinatinn... E DEDICATE our yearbook to our friend and Assis- tant Principal Melvin T. Rahn who left this life on lanuary 26, 1951. Anyone of us could speak at length on his many fine qualities and achievements. I-le needs no eulogy of inadequate Words to describe his life. We know that we have lost a staunch friend and a stalwart guide. He was a kindly man, a wise man who was just and fair, and a friend of all mankind. In a material sense we know full well that his passing leaves all of us very much poorer. Yet in a larger sense we secure great comfort when we realize how fully he en- riched the lives of so many in all walks of lite. We shall long remember the ideals and principles of the good life as he practiced them so well in his daily life. Let us continue to strive to emulate these self-same practices in our own daily lives.
