l .1 'hrs PRINCIPAL 'S MESSAGE De ar Graduates: It is with pride and regret that I greet you-- Pride because of the manner in which you have conducted yourselves during the past t 'Mw1 i,i three years--regret because at the close of , mx, this school year, we shall miss seeing you in M the halls, on our athletic fields, and at our social events. Throughout the past three years, I have watched you grow in stature, advance in knowl- edge and acquire poise and social graces. These have been important and productive years. During this time, you have had to make many important decisions and you have assumed numerous new responsibilities. You have done all of this well. Yours is the last class to have been with us as students at the Lido Junior School and you have had the experience of being in a school that changed from a two year Junior School to a full-fledged three year Junior High School. It would be impossible to spend three years together without having a feeling of great closeness. You have been our day time family and each morning as I greeted you, I have thought of you as my children. During this time, we have shared many moments of joys and sorrows. I shall recall with pleasure the manyf sports events and the social events which we have enjoyed together. We have also shared in one of the most tragic events in the history of our country. I shall never forget that sad afternoon when we received word of the untimely death of our beloved President. You left the building in shocked silence with the dignity that the mournful occasion warranted. We shall always remember where we were and what we were doing when that message reached us. When you leave, you will bring to a close the final chapter of our Junior School history. When we moved, we discovered that it mattered not which school we were in as long as we were all together. While you were here, we have tried to give you the educational background that will be helpful to you in the future. You came to us as eager, starry-eyed children with keen anticipation and high hopes for your new school experience. During your stay here, your anticipation became a reality and most of your hopes have been fully realized. We now send you on as young adults with new hopes and anticipation but still with the stars in your eyes. As you go on to new educational experiences, you have my fondest good wishes for continued success. May all your dreams come true and may your future be bright and happy. Very sincerely yours, M. To the students, faculty and yearbook staff go our very best wishes for success in all educational endeavors. The Aurora or beginning of real education will now come to our students following the exploration of junior high.
