We vainly wrestle with the blind belief that aught we cherish Can ever quite pass out of utter grief and wholly perish. -Robert Frost Some will remember Rebecca Lightstone as a student at Long Beach High, others will remember her as a teacher, but all will remember her as a vibrant young woman with a wonderful smile. In twenty four years, Miss Lightstone found something that many clo not find in three times twen- ty four-she discovered the vital force that is life, and she lived it with hope and enthusiasm, and left it with courage and strength. lt is in- conceivable that one so intense and alive could ever wholly perish from the world in which she lived, or the hearts of those who knew her. lt is to the living memory of Rebecca Lightstone that we dedicate ECHO 1965.
