Reading and Speech Mrs. Sherman Speech Senior Speech What confusion would be present if we were unable to express our visions in spoken words, as we were speed- ing along in space and gazing at constellations. LBHS students can thank their lucky stars that they are given the opportunity to be aided in the development of proper speech, and to be taught poise and expression. Under the able direction of Mrs. Sherman, the Senior Speech class has gained a wealth of knowledge which will indeed be appreciated in their future college and business en- deavors. Senior Speech fi! Such reading courses as Speed Reading, Reading Workshop, and Reme-dial Reading strive to arouse a thriving interest in the students with respect to literature, and with the assistance of Mrs. Robb and Mrs. Schatz, the students derive a better understanding ofthe words of others.
