The oTher Tive include French, Spanish, lTalian, LaTin and Hebrew. TwenTy-Three sTudenTs are now sTudying Russian, and sixTy are enrolled in The Two beginning German classes. In his earnesT desire To encourage The beTTer sTudenTs To conTinue Their sTudy oT a foreign language ThroughouT Their high school career, The Principal of The High School, Mr. Joseph Borzilleri, esTablished TourTh year classes in French. Spanish, LaTin, and Hebrew a few years ago. AddiTional TourTh year classes will be oTTered wiThin The nexT Tew years Tor The oTher languages recenTly included in The curriculum. For The pasT many years The various Foreign Language Honor SocieTies aT The school have given The sTudenTs The opporTuniTy To express Themselves creaTively ouTside of The regular classroom procedure. ln addiTion To The culTural and social values oTiered by These Honor SocieTies, The sTudenTs are kepT in consTanT Touch wiTh The besT vocaTional and occupaTional opporTuniTies by The High School's Guidance DeparTmenT. hebrew Unlike mosT languages, Hebrew is boTh classic and modern, IT ' combines The TradiTions of The pasT lT has been a medium oi hisTory over several Thousand years and iT is now a naTive Tongue Tor a modern naTion. There is beauTy in The words . . . simpliciTy in The phrases . . . sTrong images in iTs poeTry . . . sincere emoTion in iTs prose. IT has survived The decay of civiIizaTions and iT has enriched The lives of The culTure. undersTanding and speaking iTs Tongue.
