In many ways if was like a wonderland from fhe fime we firsf enfered as small and rafher scared freshmen, iusf as Alice did in Carroll's fale, fo Graduafion Day. Somefimes our hisfory, mafh, or arf classes may have resembled The bewildering seaography, disfracfion and drawling courses offered in fhe Mock Turfle's school, and a poem in English sounded more like iabberwocky fhan anyfhing else: perhaps cerfain rules we had fo obey seemed fo echo fainfly fhe Queen of Hearf's imperial decrees, and people we mef, fo puzzle and confuse us, buf fhey were all parf of fhe challenge which made high school a fascinafing explorafion info differenf lands, personalifies, and ideas.
