EDITORIAL Here in Long Beach as in every American City, are the people who make the news, the people who help make the news, and the people who print the news. We have artists, technicians and vocational people, we have successful people and those who are failures. We ourselves are un- like them because we are still in our formative years. The typical newspaper gauges and records the pulsings and the throbbings of their lives. This shall be the record of the activities, hopes and aspirations of ours. As the thousands of people working on a newspaper realize the importance of undeniable freedom of the press when they see the magic fingers of the lino-typing machine, writing out the actual occurrences of the world, we the typical students in the high school of a democracy, realize the value of our educational system. We are the youth of today, but we are also the citizens of tomorrow. Cur three branch student government and free, open THREE press are manifestations of living democracy. Our hopes and aspirations of today will be the deeds and headlines o f t o m o r r o w.
