Volleyball Girls Face Seasonal Highs and Lows Even though the girls had a disappointing record, there were a few bright spots that make this team one of the best that Lone Tree has ever produced. This was evident in sectional play when the Lady Netters came through with convincing back to back victories over Wilton and L-M. Another highlight was the overall SEIC ALL-CONEERENCE MEMBERS: 1st Row: |ill Musser, Beth Pechous, Mi- j4 chele Kout. 2nd Row: Kris Viner, Sheri Burr. enthusiasm of the hometown fans; this crowd support spurred the Lionettes onto many of their victories On the varsity level, the girls netted a 9-10 record along with a few personal victories of their own. Beth Pechous received 1st Team All-Conference honors while Michele Kout and (ill Musser were elected to the 2nd Team Sheri Burr and Kris Viner were designated as Honorable Mention receipients. The team voted Beth Pechous as their Captain, Mi- chele Kout as Most Valuable Player, and Angie Krueger and Trisha Yakish as Most Improved Players for the season Coach Oskroba felt that the team had the abili- ty to be in contention for the Conference Title, but inconsistancy in performance proved otherwise. The Junior Varsity squad also encountered a rough season with a 6-9 record. The girls worked hard and improved steadily throughout the year and gained valu- able playing experience The future outlook of varsity performance was prov- en optimistic by the execution of the Fresh-Soph. They enjoyed a 12-3 record and are looking forward to more winning seasons to come. Good luck girls in the upcoming season and keep those fans coming
