Above-Don Colton and Lori Wcrbach together at noon. Right-Lisa Kilgore and Kim Mapel hurrying to class. Bottom-Lisa Westfall, Penny Pearson, and Deanna Nicholson talking while Robin Phares does some studying. The noon hour at Lone Tree is a varied event. Some stu- dents are so anxious to get to the lunchroom and eat the good hot lunches that they run all the way to the lunchroom. Others choose to go uptown to eat Doritos and drink pop, which are among the favorites here at the Tree. After they get done eating, the kids find many things to do while waiting for the take-up bell. Just to name a few, some enjoy clowning around, picking on the younger kids, throwing snowballs outside, couples holding hands, or just talking to friends. Those who have any last minute studying to do will sit by their locker and try to do so. When the bell rings everybody hurrys to class so as to not be late and have to stay for detention. So ends the Lone Tree noon hour. u

TODAYS THREADS Top-Usa Rayner, Anna Hall, Nancy Zaruba, Donna Zimmerman, and Janice Mullinnix all dressed up waiting for the dance to start. Left-Even though blue jeans are the style Lisa Herring, Anne Hepler, and Christine Brcnncman have to be different. The fashions at Lone Tree High this year were somewhat different. Some people would come wearing gauchos and knee high boots or dress pants and three piece suits. A few times you would even see some dresses that were knee length. Tennis shoes were the most popular protection for our feet, but at the same time people wore knee high boots, work boots, and cowboy boots. Although jeans were the normal attire some days a few boys would come to school all dressed up in cor- duroy pants and print shirts. The move in hair styles this year was to a shorter look, but there were still a few people afraid or unwilling to get their hair cut. We also saw more beards on our fellow students and teachers. Though the fashions of today were changing ever faster, we still saw the blue jeans, T-shirts, flannel shirts, and tennis shoes as the fashion for many people. 13
