With a rap of the gavel. Lone Tree FHA brought to a close another busy year. The 76-77 year contained a lot of traditional activities interlaced with new activities. Perfect attendance at the FHA Dis- trict Meeting sent members home with the traveling trophy given each year to the school with the highest percent of its members present. December included Christmas carol- ing at Children’s Hospital and leaving behind stuffed toys for the children. They topped the chilly night ydui din- ner and a gift exchange at the Brown Bottle. Trying something new, they spon- sored a chili supper after a home bas- ketball game. FHA Week and their Senior Citizen Valentine’s Day Party kept the month of February rolling. Spring and summer activities in- cluded a career trip and a summer trip. FHA enables you to gain personal satisfaction through helping other people. 15

August activities included Kiddie Barnyard at the Johnson County Fair and the faculty breakfast. Later activ- ities involved fruit sales, the grain show, and garden seed sales. FFA members participated in vari- ous contests throughout the year in- cluding Soil Judging, Parliamentary Procedure, and Extemporaneous Speaking Contests. Members also at- tended the State and National FFA Conventions. FFA Sweetheart Kathy Warson reigned over the 76-77 year.
