The Student Council tliis year has tried to include more activities than just traditional ones such as the Home- coming parade, decorating the Christ- mas tree, and having the annual Kol- ache Hop. Changes made included an effort to open their proceedings to the citizens of LTHS. The first meeting of every month is now open to any student who wishes to speak to the council. The council did much of its business this year in committees. From time to time, ideas and advice from non- council members helped these com- mittees shape their recommendations to the entire council. Student Council proposals which have not yet been finalized include: revising the marking system to include plus and minus signs on report cards; setting up a policy statement on how coaches should deal with students who have to miss their practice because of practice for another school activity; and, a student lounge. COUNCIL MEMBERS: Front row: J. Loan, K. Warson, Robert Rossman, R. Dunn, L. Coan, Mr. Cannon-Advisor. Second row: D. Zimmerman, S. Forbes, B. Slaughter, K. Carpenter, L. Westfall. Back row: D. Nicklaus and Richard Rossman.
