August, 1952 C Jiary of the Class of 56 Dear Diary . . , We have finally made it! This month we started to Lone Tree High School. There are 38 members in, our class. They are Jean Lear, Emily Skala, Ardath Hunter, Juanita Westlake, Kenneth Brenneman, JoAnn Frank, Carilyn Yedlik, Ann Duffey, Gary Watson, Wilbur Huff, Gary Mincer, Ronald McLaughlin, Nina Curtis, Mildred Walker, Jackie Ford, Dennis Kelso, Sharon Wehmeyer, David Ipsen, Sandra King, Keith Crawford, Leita Attig, Mary Margaret Krai, Gertrude Rayner, Gene Crawford, Bob Swails, Alice Jensen, Marilyn Jarrard, Jerry Forbes, Lois Forbes, George Lungquist, Jean Keeler, Sandra Malmberg, Cecil Hotz, Judy Jackson, David Hartsock, Nancy Pearson, Bob Kline, and Beverly Swails. The big highlight of this year was being initiated into high school. August, 1953 to May, 1954 Dear Diary . . . This year our class lost three members. They are Dennis Kelso, Mildred Walker, and Kenneth Brenneman. As is the tradition of Sophomores, we decorated the gym for Homecoming. Our theme was Good Luck. August, 1954 to May, 1955 Dear Diary . . . This is our next to the last year of high school. Now we are a class of 33, for we have lost Sharon Wehmeyer and Jackie Ford. As Juniors, we presented a mystery comedy— Aunt Cathy's Cat —as our class play. Also, we treated the Seniors to a spring prom; our theme was Stardust. Naturally, we think it was the best prom yet. August, 1955 to May, 1956 Dear Diary . . . As Seniors, we are now looking forward to graduation. This year we lost Bob Kline to the Air Force During our last year, we are keeping quite busy. We presented our class play, Hill- billy Weddin, and prepared THE ELM for 1956. Now, as our senior year draws to a close, we have only a short time to wait for those wonderful diplomas. 16
