“Ronald Wieland, after inventing a rocket ship and traveling to Mars, came back, married Rosie and is now settled down in a nice quiet farm near Riverside. He yearned to go back to Mars, but Rosie forbade him to go. He has finally given that up, and is content to stay at home with Rosie and their six boys. Marilyn Stonebarger, now Mrs. Ken Roy Ingham, is now helping her husband in (and is half owner of) Club 88 at Tiffin, Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. Ingham also own a half share in Club 22. Mickey took nurses training for four years, but she gallantly gave up her profession for Ken Roy. They are very wealthy and have six Cadillacs, a twelve room mansion, and several hotels out West. Mary Lou Huff, now Mrs. Warren Murphy, is settled down on a turkey farm where she and Warren raise 5000 turkeys a year. Every morning she has to get up at 5:00 to feed and water the turkeys while Warren stays in bed. They make millions of dollars each year on their turkeys and each year when the season is over, they take a trip around the world to see how people in foreign countries raise turkeys. Paul Duffey, after being basketball manager for LTHS ten years ago, Paul now carries the bats and balls for the New York Yankees when they play in the World Series. In his spare time he plays football on a professional team In the East. Mary Lenz married Kenny Wieland five years ago and they are now running the Oak Crest Station on 218. Mary was a private secretary for several years after graduation but she decided that she wanted to settle down. Their business is very good and they plan to retire in 25 years. Orville Bekker is very happy these days. After his folks retired to town, he finally got up enough nerve to ask Darlene to marry him and they moved out on the farm. Orville was recently judged the ideal farmer of the United States and he is very, very proud of this honor. Leroy Polman, after discovering oil in Texas a few years ago, is now the number one oil tycoon in the world. He has recently been courting Calamity Jane. It was reported recently that they are planning a huge cathedral wedding in London and they have invited 2500 guests. He recently financed a swimming pool, library, and recreation center for LTHS, his old Alma Mater. Don Attig is still courting Florence Nicholson and a few other girls too numerous to mention. He is trying to figure out which one he wants to cook his breakfast and shine his shoes; so he hasn't as yet taken the fatal step. He is still driving that old beaten-up '49 Ford because he says it's good for another 20 years and that besides, he can't afford a new one. Della Fountain took a business course after graduating from Lone Tree High and graduated with honors from the business college that she attended. She is now John D. Rockegeller's private secretary and is making very good in her profession. Betty Murphy took cooking lessons after graduation and is at the present time con- sidered Iowa's best cook. She invites her boy friend down every Wednesday and Saturday night for a supper that she cooks before they go to the local movie. She has won world acclaim for her wonderful menus. Charles Mullinnix is now the proprietor of Charley's Home Brewing Co. Shirley and their four little boys help bottle the finished product, but Chuck is the only one who knows the exact formula for the wonderful brew.
