PROPHECY I looked Into the mrst of trme and drscovered more or less clearly What rn twenty frve years from now our class wrll be lrkt or nearly Yes tvcryone marrrcd of course No old mards or bachs there ll be among such an attractrvc bunch so good lookrng and farr to see Not a bad one among the lot not one of tne crowd 1n Jarl not one of us dead and gone all strll lrvrng to tell the tale One noted preacher I s rw at the head of a large crty church R11 hard Ilatfreld and a famous avrator who decrded for Mars to search Sylvester Adams Yes I saw a doctor or two among us and clever ones too Eddre Cypert and Betty Newman who drrve away aches and rlls so therr patrents become good as new Elledge and Charles Rrchardson But they re the rnrraculous krnd who know how to make therr farm pay And lxsten' One member I found as I looked ahead twenty frve years who had wrrtten a splendrd book Betty Tynes that moved folks to laughter and tears As I hoped rn Congress I saw from our class noted members as Francrs Good Roy Hamrlton and Brll Morrrs Now here s a chorce brt of news Thrs was a surprrse I ll declare two of our most charmrng grrls LaDella Rabe and Carol Kelty had each marrred a m1Il1ona1re Some of our grrls I found were housewrves busy and clever Coye lean Jones Ann Crawford and Bernrce Maddox who cared for therr famrly and home wrth modern skrll and endeavor Busrness folk also I noted merchants grocers shopkeepers who were certarnlv maklng good Harold Johnson and Earl Smrth wrth bank accounts prlrng up steeper A pol1t1c1an lrkewrse I noted who had garned herself local renoun Ruth Murray and one of our able women Mary Ruth Flowers was Mayoress of her town But I found some heads growrng bald b neath the owners neat hat And alas some grrls of the class vsere gettrng decrdedly fat When I looked through the mrst of trme I saw I am happy to say our class was makrng famous the school from whrch we are graduatrng today And look who Mrs Astor Lana Turner and Irene Dunne were buyrng the1r clothes from none other than Dons Turner b 3 1' 1 ' x ,, x x N hi ,x 1 s' Z w 2 ' J I 1 Some farmers, I saw of course, who raise wheat, chickens, and hayg Charles , . . . . , , , , . , , .
