BOYS BASKETBALL Startmg out with what seemed to be a wmnmg team the boys were dogged by bad luck and early losses of good teammates All through the season the team had to remam just good competi tion and any other team U1 the conference had to work to get a wm from the flghtxng Longhorns With L Q Price as coach and Jlmmy Schoonover as spark plug and h1gh point man and Kenneth Petht second the team has an excellent chance of coming out on top next year as Jack Word speedy forward is the only graduating letterman Mr Przce is not only an excellent coach but also an mspxra txon to the team and a credit to the school He dxd an excellent job all the wh1le trymg to overcome such difficulties as mel1g1b1l1ties mdnffe rence and lack of veteran talent the only veteran of the courts The rest of the boys were untrxed but they were all wzllxng to learn therefore the starting lmeup next year w1ll be filled with veterans and the Edztor predlcts that wxth luck the boys w11l have a very successful season next year Good Luck Fellows mes Played Won Lost Zanels Dickson Gene Autry Plainview Graham Rexroat Dundee Springer Totals Z8 The boys started the season with Jimmy Schoonover being Ga -1- i ' 0 2 0 3 1 1 ' 0 3 0 Z Z 0 1 1 ' 0 Z 18 4 14
