The Freshman Class The class of 1989 is the newest addition to the high school. Being one of the largest classes, we try to show support, enthusiasm and spirit toward school sports and activities. We all started out as the little guys of thejunior High School, but within a year we were on top. Now, it's as if we're back at the bottom, moving our way slowly but surely back up to the top, to the day we become seniors. We looked and thought of coming to the high school not only as a challenge but as a goal set for us. The goal being, of course, to get through these four years of high school. Although we've only been here not even a year, we're already on our way to reaching that goal. We're here, aren't we? The Freshman Class Officers As Freshman class advisor, I have the task of coordinating the leadership in the class of 1989 to accomplish their goals. It has been very difficult convincing this very large class that is filled with capable leaders, that they each must contribute to the success of the class. Many good ideas have emerged from the faithful few who have actively sought leadership roles as officers. There if quality and not just quantity. I have urged the masses, however, to step forward in a positive direction and let everyone know you are here, ready to make your mark, not merely as the largest class to enter L.H.S., but the best.
