The New London junior lligh basketball team had trouhle in scheduling games for this season, their regular conference opponents hacked out from playing them when a change in districts was announced. As a result, their opponents were mostly AA schools. The Kittens played in one tournament at Longview, placing fourth. The Kittens had a very good team this year and held their own throughout the season.

Coach Nichols was high in his opinion of this yearis team, who lost only to Gaston and Carthage. They were a fine group of boys and showed remarkable team spirit and cooperation throughout the season.
