GRADUATION Graduation! The event which the graduating class had been looking forward to for the past three years was here. Excitement had been mounting during the last few months, and then on Tuesday, June 4, l957, Graduation Day was here! Hushed silence fell over the audience as the under- graduates filed in followed by the graduating class. After the preliminaries, the school choir sang The Holy City . The address was given by Rev. William A. Mierop, Th.B., D.D., President of Philadelphia Bible Institute. He pre- sented a very challenging message from John 15. Following the address, the presentation of awards was made by Rev. Frank R. Koksma, M.A. The presentation of the graduating class was made by Rev. Percy H. Harris, B.A., Th.M. Rev. Alden A. Gannett, B.A., Th.M., Th.D., then awarded the diplomas and degrees A dedicatory prayer was made by Dr. Wm. R. Quinn, B.A., M.D., followed by a choral selection and the bene- diction by Rev. Alden A. Gannett. Truly it was a memorable night, not only for those who graduated but also for proud parents and friends who saw fifty-two young men and women finish one stage in their training for the l.ord's service.

BACCALAUREATE The Baccalaureate service was held on Sunday afternoon June 2, i957 at 4:00 in Central Baptist Church, London. Mr. W. G. Carey played the processional hymn, Fairest Lord Jesus as the Chorale and graduating students entered. The Chorale sang Bach's Jesus, Priceless Treasure and The Heavens Are Telling by L. V. Beethoven. I The speaker for this occasion was the Rev. John E. Boehmer, B.A., Th.M. Rev. Boehmer, the pastor of High Park Baptist Church, Toronto, was certainly well qualified to challenge the graduates of '57 to give their all, without reservation or retreat, in service for their Master. Future pastors, teachers, missionaries, nurses, Christian Edu- cation directors and business men were urged to be faithful in the special task which was before them. As these Christian men and women saw the will of God before them, they were moved to execute the task which He had assigned. They each had a high calling of God and now they were ready to fulfill it. Let none hear you idly saying, There is nothing I can do. While the souls of men are dying, and the Master calls you too. Take the lash He gives you gladly, Let His work your pleasures beg Answer quickly when He calleth, Here am 1, send me, send 1ne.
