Once again it was a very successful year for the Central Music department, a year marked by many successes. Among these triumphs we managed to reduce the hot dog surplus to zero at the annual barbecue in Gibbons Park, and our familiar grapefruit and orange campaign reached its goal of one truckload. 81-82 was a year of expansion into projects other than the traditional, such as making new uniforms for the girls of the Sr. Band and Orchestra. Composite photographing of the various senior performing groups gave the students a chance to have pictures of themselves with their instruments. Travelling was much evident on our already crowded agenda. A long haul to Toronto, accompanied by students from Beck and C.C.H was arranged in orde to see the Canadian Opera Company ' s production of Die Fleidermaus. The highlight of the year was our overnight exchange with the Kmgsville District High School. This was accompanied by a day visit to the Boblo Island Amusement Park.
