The Student Council was much more in touch with students this year and hence such programs as the Stereo Unit in the Cafeteria, Florida Day, a Road Hockey Tournament and a highly successful Rook Week were made possible. Central students acted reponsibly this year in not succumbing to the disruptive school riots early in the term. I hope Central served you well this past year and I wish everyone well in the year ahead. Chris Delaney Council President This was a very successful year, both from the standpoint of the Student Council, and from that of the students. We, the Student Council, feel you can never work too hard for causes which are of benefit to the school. I would personally like to thank all the students who supported our fundraising and special events. As well, I want to express my appreciation to our staff advisor, Mr. Koenen (for what would we do without him?) and all the staff who helped with our activities and chaperoned our dances. CENTRAL COMMAND REMARKS This excellent yearbook is due to the very devoted efforts of the editors Barbara Schust and Michael Curtis assisted by Mr. Chisholm, the staff advisor. Preparing a yearbook is a con- siderable amount of work and this is not always recognized. A yearbook is of increasing value as the years pass; it brings very many happy and pleasant memories of old friends and acquaintances. Central is a fine school thanks in no small measure to the excellence and the contribution of its very active students and staff. This book will help you to remember your part in it. To all the graduates, I would like to offer my sincere thanks for all your efforts in your years in the school. May good for- tune attend all of your future endeavours. Congratulations to the yearbook editors Barb Schust and Mike Curtis and the yearbook staff for producing an excellent yearbook. You have the satisfaction that, in years to come, the appreciation for your efforts will grow. As you leaf through the pages of this yearbook you can see that the students and staff have a very active extracurricular program of athletics, clubs and music. It is gratifying to see the curricular effort of the students in balanced by a high rate of participation in extracurricular activities. To the graduates, I extend my thanks for your contribution to Central during your years here. Your involvement and attitude has enriched the school.
