Senior Basketball 1980-81 Ghosts Darrin Ullerick Kevin Eck Naeem Merchant Steven Hanson Scott Whatmore Robert Schuetz Chris Cuylle John Vouvalidis Sandy Schomburg Mark McManus Alfred Banholzer Mike Heiland Eric Rowe David Scheutz Team Record (15-11) This year proved to be one of Central ' s better years for Junior Basketball. After getting off to a slow start, the team ended up with a 9-3 record and a berth in the playoffs for the City Championship. In the playoffs, we won our way to the semifinals, but were then defeated by a stronger team from Catholic Central. Winning a tournament in Petrolia was another highlight of our season. The entire team would like to thank Mr. Peterson. His leadership and coaching talents were essential factors contributing to our success. Alistair Linton

The 1980 Junior Football squad had little experienced talent. We were able, however, to overcome this major ob- stacle, and against odds, won our first two contests. The highlight of the season was defeating arch-rival Catholic Central 28-14 in an offense-packed, highly intensity game. Unfortunately, the Ghosts suffered key player injuries, and the free-wheeling offense was stifled by strong defences from more experienced teams. We would all like to thank Mr. Cunningham and Doug Gunton for the time and support they contributed to help make the 1980 Junior Ghosts a success. Good luck to next year ' s team! John Reese and Dougald McKillop BASKETBALL The Senior Girls Basketball team had an excellent season in 1980-81. We earned the right to play in the Purple and White tournament. Central also won the Saunders Consolation Trophy with a decisive victory over C.C.H. The Team made it to the London Conference semifinals, where we lost an extremely close game to the Crusaders. Thanks go to Miss Rowe for her patience, and her ability to coach us to our greatest potential. Watch out for this team next year! Alison Aldcroft

Although the Midget Boys Basketball team did not have a very successful 1980-81 season, we gained valuable experience. We seemed to be lacking height. Thanks for the fine coaching, Mr, Reintjes! Tal Leyshon VOLLEYBALL 4i i This year ' s Senior Girls Volleyball team exhibited a great amount of talent and spirit. With each game, they improved. They went to the Finals of the Laurier Tournament and to the Semifinals of Conference. There is obviously a bright future for this young team. The players would like to thank Mom (Miss Innes) and Miss McDonald for their excellent coaching and continuous support. Donna Lamb
