Betty Ioyce Morgan has had outstanding roles in dramatic productions at Lon Morris and has b . een a steadfast worker in the religious activities as well A person so well adjusted to life is sure of a happy, well- rounded career of satisfactory service for the benefit of all her fellowmen. Manuel Iguina has continued the outstanding record that he achieved last year both in academic subjects d ' hl an in at etics. His friendliness, stick-tolit-iveness, and intelligence have impressed both his teachers and his fellow-students, and we shall be wishing him th e best of everything when he goes to another school next year. jean Moseley has charmed us with her excellent piano playing in chapel and on the radio, and has done ex cellent work in the field of religion here on the campus Al ways a good student and a good worker she is the type of student that we are proud to call our own Efficiency, skill, friendline d ss an winsomeness are all h c aracteristics of this splendid girl. Walter is one of our veterans who has made an out standing record at Lon Morris He has been consist t . , g en in his studies and has always been anxious to lend h d a an - and a car - when he has been called on to help out in the many extra-curricular, tasks around the college. He is a ministerial student, and one of the finest, and we know that he has truly dedicated his life to a field of service in which his talents can be used for the benefit of mankind. t Charles Emmett Cooke is another second year student who has been chosen again as one of our members of W1 i Wh ' ios o. He has shown a great growth in maturity and seriousness, of purpose since last year, and we predict that he will continue to grow as he follo h' d ' ' ' ws is roa towards great achievements in his chosen field of endeavor. lllhoe who It would be almost impossible to find another person who would more wholeheartedly lend her talents to the artistic needs of the college than Cora Hoffpauir. She has worked long hours doing the art work for this Annual. and has made countless posters for events about the school. She always has a friendly smile for her fellow students and teachers, and the world would be a happier place if it had more people of Cora's genuine character and helpfulness and true Christian devotion. For friendliness and genuine character, no student can excel James Wagener. He has been a tireless worker with the M.Y.F., and Religious Council, and in every good and worthwhile task on our campus. He is loved and admired by teacher and student alike for his fine qualities and we are looking forward to more of his excellent work next year. Richard is not only one of the outstanding students in the matter of grades, but he has been a most ex- cellent womker and a faithful one of the Annual staff. Loyal to his ideals and meticulous in his work, he has the type of personality and character that we can call that of a true Christian gentleman. Do you need a good leader, a member of a Fellow- ship Team, a speaker, a singer? Then call on Beverly Van Sandt. She always has a smile for you, but she is also always ready to work hard on any task that falls her lot to do. We are proud to include her on the Who,s Who page, and we are sure that her ex- cellent qualities will carry her to further triumphs in the future. Bill Hatchel will finish his two years full of splendid achievements when he graduates this spring. We have enjoyed his singing, his friendship, his work on the school paper, and on the radio, and his willingness to cooperate in all the affairs of the campus at all times. In addition he has had several important roles in plays in which he has always turned in excellent performances. Christ's blessings will surely always be on an individual of Bill's character. s rw ' f MX W' l 5? .M Whos lillio 'N For sweetness, gentility, and hard work at her secre- taryis job we nominate as an outstanding candidate Ruby Nell.Kimmons. Quiet and efiicient, Ruby Nell gets the job done with a minimum of fuss and bother, but you are always sure that it is a thorough job. She has also entered into all the religious activities on the campus with the same enthusiasm for seeing a task well done. She ranks high in -the field of scholar- ship, too. Boys, take the hint. Last year we were afraid Bill was going to another school, but he finally decided to return to Lon Morris, and we are proud that he made that decision. He has been a mainstay in many of the religious activities on the campus, and we value highly his work on the Annual staff, in Religious Council, Morning Watch, and in countless other organizations. Few students can equal Bill in devotion to Christ, in friendliness, in level-headed optimism, and in personality of the most sterling quality. We shall perhaps remember Betty Read as one of the most excellent actresses that Lon Morris has ever had. She became our Cornell in the very first pro- duction, and has maintained her standards of dra- matic perfection throughout the year. She is also an outstanding student scholastically, for she realizes that excellence in one field without a corresponding high quality of work in another may lead to a one-sided personality. Betty never fails to maintain her stand- ards, no matter what the field of work in which she is engaged. Sometimes we think of Carroll as a member of the faculty Che does teach typinglj and sometimes as a student, but always we know him to be one of the most outstanding persons on our campus. He is an excellent actor, a good singer, and a serious worker for Christ. He never fails to do brilliant work, no mat- ter what he is doing, whether it is making a stencil for a program or grading papers or preaching a sermon. Although Bill Palmer is not one of our dormitory students - he is a married veteran with outside work - he has entered into the activities of the campus so thoroughly and so outstandingly that we know more about his fine qualities than we do of some of those with whom we are more closely associated. Such a person is the kind of minister we need in our churches today. May God's blessing rest always with a servant of Bill's quality. .wk :.'
