Xa ,w . ,, ,W w R 4 xl -mv N' .A T Turkey Trot A Step Ahead Excited crowds, happy winners, and some of the best times ever were seen at the 1971-'72 Turkey Trot. This year's big winners in the eighth grade race were Tom Upshaw, a repeat winner from last year, and Kim Jeter, also winning for the second year in a row. Taking home the turkey for the seventh graders were Gerry Tolstad and Val Tykeson. Coming on strong in second place were eighth graders Clarence Pressley and Sherri Giovanacci. In the seventh grade, second place prizes were captured by Joe Dela Guerra and Piper Warrick. Running a great race were Steve Fisher and Debbie Gil- more for the upperclassmen and Darrell Belle and Frannie Cas- tro for the seventh graders - all earning third place in the stiff competition. Turnout for the annual race was enormous.
